Public life:
“Schultheiß”, village mayor and court Zweiflingen are mentioned in 1577 for the first time.
The former stately deanery changed into a townhall within th 19th century. 1672 a “Selboten” court was established, which according to regulations hold meetings four times a year, but most of the time only once.
Still until the midst of the 19th century exsisted the public sheep-farm, where each beneficiary could keep up to six sheeps. In Pfahlbach was a poorhouse.
Structure:
Referring to the professional structure, wage earners working in agriculture and fostery prevailed, wheras the medium-sized farms preponderated. (Zweiflingen owns one of the greatest wood aeras within the Hohenlohekreis..
According to the rural character of the community the commuter peregrination is rather one-sided outwardly directed. The still exsisting crafts and trades serve mainly the local demand. Industrial factories have not settled yet.
The greatest attraction within the commune is certainly the wellknown Waldhotel and the golf-course in Friedrichsruhe. At first one would believe the borough is a rather remote spot. This is however not true. The road network is among the most extensive within the Hohenlohekreis (over 20 km) and the short-distance-traffic model NVH offers nearly every hour buses to the close-by district town Öhringen.
